Safari

Safari, səˈfärē, noun

An expedition to observe animals in their natural habitat, especially in East Africa.

There is something incredible about seeing the wildlife in Africa.  Being next to a herd of wild elephants in their natural habitat, seeing the African landscape covered with antelope, cape buffalo and giraffe, taking a boat ride on the Nile River so close to hippos & crocodiles that you can almost touch them – this is one of the great experiences of any trip to Uganda.

After returning from Kacungwa, the team left me behind to do some work at ARM Headquarters and headed North to Murchison Falls Game Park to experience God’s amazing creation.  It is impossible to describe the feeling of driving across the plains of Africa – it is something you have to go yourself to truly understand the magnificence of the experience.  The next best way is just to show some pictures – though they don’t come close to replacing the real thing.

One thing that was different this trip was that the team was able to take Pastor Sylver and his wife Allen for their first time ever safari.  This was also a honeymoon that this wonderful couple never had – it was truly a blessing for the team to be able to share this time with our good friends.

Still not convinced that this was worth the journey?  Just ask Geri – she will tell you…YES

Thank you God for the magnificence of Your creation and our ability to take the time to admire what You have done.
